Print and use this form to help you see error patterns in your writing. When you find certain errors, mark how many you have made in the space provided. If you make certain errors frequently, they are indications that you may not be sure of your main ideas (what you want to say), unclear as to your organizational structure (format), or that you need more work in editing and proof reading (correctness). You can use the different columns for your major writing assignments and see your own growth over time. Use a good English handbook to help you to correct errors. Hint: Read all of your writing aloud to hear punctuation and to listen for idea/sentence clarity.
